Commencement Schedule
Below you will find the schedule for the ceremonies and events for the Class of 2020.
Academic Processions for all Commencement ceremonies begin approximately 30 minutes before the posted ceremony time. Guests should be seated before the procession begins.
Proof of up to date vaccination is required for all indoor events. Public health guidance will continue to be updated in the FAQ section.

9:00 a.m. Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony, Healy Lawn (Rain Site: McDonough Arena)
11:00 a.m. Undergraduate Reception, Cooper Field (Rain Site: Healey Family Student Center and Leo J. O’Donovan Dining Hall)
The undergraduate Class of 2020 and their guests are invited to join their faculty for light refreshments immediately following the ceremony.
3:00 p.m. Graduate and Professional Commencement Ceremony, Healy Lawn (Rain Site: McDonough Arena)
5:00 p.m. Graduate and Professional Programs Reception, Cooper Field (Rain Site: Healey Family Student Center and Leo J. O’Donovan Dining Hall)
The graduate and professional Class of 2020 and their guests are invited to join their faculty for light refreshments immediately following the ceremony.
5:00 p.m. Reception for McDonough School of Business Graduate Students, Hariri Building
5:00 p.m. Reception for School of Foreign Service Graduate Students, SWQ Tent
9:00 p.m. Senior Ball for the Undergraduate Class of 2020, Washington Hilton

10:00 a.m. Baccalaureate Mass, Healy Lawn (Rain Site: McDonough Arena)
Following Baccalaureate Mass, graduates and their families are invited for Brunch and refreshments on the Leavey Center Esplanade.
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Farmers Market and Georgetown University Grilling Society
Local food vendors and the Georgetown Grilling Society return to Red Square.
Academic Regalia
Academic regalia is required to participate in the commencement ceremony.
